The Edlund Company develops and manufacturers innovative, operator-oriented steel equipment for harsh foodservice environments. Made in their factory in Burlington, VT, USA, the manual can openers are built to last. They're also easy to use, easy to clean, and come in a variety of models to fit your specific needs. People don't ask for a new Edlund can opener, they just say the model number.
Part of Edlund's "Old Reliables" Line, this Manual Can Opener is Edlund's original manual can opener, making it an oldie but goodie. Edlund invented these original can openers 75 years ago, and they have set the standard in foodservice ever since. Now Edlund has improved them to meet the even tougher requirements of today's foodservice operations. With a smoother action base design, long-wearing spool and rust resistant arbor, you just can't copy Edlund's quality.
The can opener has a rust-resistant melonite arbor, to make the gear changing easier. It also has a replaceable plastic base insert, which provides smooth glide action and reduces wear on the can opener shaft. The delrin plastic spool reduced friction against the handle for improved wear. Made of tough plated steel construction, the can opener is heavy duty enough to be used for up to 50 cans a day. The long bar can opener has a tempered steel reversible knife easily cuts open cans up to 11" tall.
