The Duo-Edge Roast Slicer has a stain-free, high carbon steel blade with an edge stone-ground and honed by hand to ultimate sharpness. The granton "duo-edge" blade features small indentations running along the blade, allowing airflow between the blade and the meat for smooth, clean slicing. A formed, sanitary handle of laminated rosewood is secured with large brass compression rivets. This handle has been impregnated with polymers and resins, providing a durable, yet warm, handle that is impervious to stains, hot water, and food acids.
