The natural look of the walnut finish seat combined with the industrial accent of the raw metal frame makes this modern chair perfect for achieving a rustic-urban design in your restaurant.
Constructed of a solid wood seat that features a walnut finish, this chair is a high quality, durable seating option. The bare metal on this chair is protected with a smooth, polyurethane clear-coat finish that provides resistance to stains, scratches, and fingerprints. Over time, the metal on this chair will develop a unique patina and subtle oxidation patterns underneath the clear-coat finish - perfect for acquiring an aged, industrial look. Because of the hand-ground steel's raw, rugged appearance, each chair has its own unique charm.
The sturdy, heavy-gauge frame is constructed of high-carbon, cold-rolled 1-1/4" steel tubing and is welded at all joints. The long-lasting plastic floor guides help protect expensive floors and make sliding easy. Combining style and comfort, the seat and back on this attractive industrial chair will accentuate your restaurant's decoration, while ensuring your customers are comfortable!

You should get this chair! Review by Gray Jr
I've been looking for this chair for a long time! It fits my home's modern industrial look perfectly. It's obvious that this is not machine-made; there are slight imperfections in welds and in the randomness of the metal's finish. The clear coat seals it pretty well, so it's smooth all around; no rough corners or edges.
The seat is a heavy solid piece of wood - I think it's birch. It's definitely not plywood and probably about a half inch thick, maybe a little more. Because the metal frame is hand-welded, the position of the brackets that the seat attaches to probably vary, which is why the seat does not come with holes pre-drilled. However, screws are included and are easy to put in; just do yourself a favor and drill some 1/8 inch pilot holes (not too deep!!). Wood this dense will split if you try to put screws in without them.
Overall, I am very pleased with this chair and I highly recommend it. I purchased in the store so I can't speak to shipping, but this guy feels pretty sturdy and I expect to last a long while! (Posted on 5/6/2014)
