A permanently lubricated, maintenance-free, brushless induction motor with automatic resetting thermal protector provides great performance and quiet, dependable operation while consuming less electricity. Microprocessor controlled infrared sensor turns dryer on when hands are under the air outlet and off when hands are removed. Automatic override turns off the dryer in 80 seconds if hands are not removed. The heating element is constructed of NiChrome resistance wire with an automatic resetting thermostat and operates in the black range for maximum life.
