The blades are forged of a ceramic called zirconium oxide that is 50% harder than steel. Ultra-sharp and light weight, this Handheld Mandoline is a pleasure to use and the nonstick surface makes for easy clean up! Unlike steel products, the mandoline's ceramic blade typically won't need to be sharpened.
