Classic European design. Allows comfortable seating in a compact, economical, and practical chair. Exceptionally strong design allows this chair to be very light while being strucurally sound. Constructed from European Alpine beech. All mortise and tenon joints are glued and reinforced with steel hardware. The critical junctions are reinforced by custom steel connectors and lagbolts. A unique wooden Z-brace connects all major parts of the chair and acts as a flexible support. The seat is constructed of high grade 7-ply wood with a fully upholstered vinyl seat pad filled with a high density, fire retardant, polyurethane foam filling.
