The heavy duty, hard-chromed, free-floating grates of this charbroiler provide defined grill marks for great taste and food presentation. Its free-floating rods are better than cast iron grates because they compensate for expansion and contraction from intense heat. The steel rods help prevent food from sticking, making cleanup easier. The hard chrome-plated rods are held in place by the charbroiler's thick-walled stainless steel frame and resist warping and cracking.
