APW Wyott's Champion Hot Plate has a fast start-up to prime cooking temperatures. The high output gas burners generate 30,000 BTU's per burner. Openings in the front allow the pilot light to be easily lit and adjusted without removing the front panel. The hot plate has welded construction. The thick, stainless steel on the hot plate's crumb tray, front panel and top skirt protects against kitchen "wear and tear" and rust. The rest of the hot plate is constructed of a heavy duty aluminized steel.

Thick cast iron grates are removable and can stand up to years of high output use. The hot plate has a bull-nose front extension that helps protects employees from burns. Maintenance is easier with bottom-mount grease collection pan and removable top grates. The radiants are self-cleaning, for easy upkeep. Smooth action, infinitely adjustable gas valves turn 180 degrees, giving the operator ultimate control, and the gas regulator is field convertible.
