The cabinets are made of heavy duty, 20-gauge polished stainless steel. The cabinet has a polycarbonate door with field reversible, heavy duty hinges, door latch mechanism, and gaskets.

Vulcan's VHFA9 9 pan Non-Insulated Holding Cabinet has 9 levels for holding and transporting food. The fixed interior pan supports are designed to accommodate pan covers for transporting and are removable for easy cleaning. The VHFA9 hold and transport cabinet's control panel includes: power "on" and heater "on" indicator lights, dial thermostat adjusts from ambient to 190°F, and a temperature read-out dial. The top-mounted, recessed control panel is easy to use and out of the way of brooms, mops, and feet when transporting. The VHFA9 holding cabinet has two 600 watt metal sheathed heating elements, creating a total draw of 10 amps. The cabinet's fan and air tunnel provide even heat distribution.
